FeralCoton Posted May 11, 2016 Share #1 Posted May 11, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) It seems odd Leica eliminated the endless 12% discount in the US. Their reasoning for it was allegedly because of currency exchange rates, but the rates are the same. Seems more reasonable to have adjusted the prices downward. Luxury brands do this from time to time. Now we're left with the impression the lenses, for example, should cost a bit less. (I guess as long as it went on I still couldn't decide if I needed the 75mm summarit) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Advertisement Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Hi FeralCoton, Take a look here Discount removal. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Jeff S Posted May 11, 2016 Share #2 Posted May 11, 2016 I noticed today that the prices on S lenses, for instance at B&H and Leica Miami, are not back to the pre-12% prices; rather the new prices listed are still 5-7% lower than the previous retail amount. I haven't checked other Leica gear or other dealers. Might be worth checking on specific gear if you had something in mind. And remember that dealers sometimes are able to put together better deals than advertised. Jeff
