MichaelToye Posted May 4, 2016 Share #1 Posted May 4, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) My question for the forum is, will I just get a replacement sensor or a new anti-corrosion sensor? What is the concensus Thanks, in advance Michael
Advertisement Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Hi MichaelToye, Take a look here My MM is now in Germany for sensor replacement (2 months now). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted May 4, 2016 Share #2 Posted May 4, 2016 Not a consensus, a known fact. Leica has been providing the new type sensor for a while now.

Rus Posted May 5, 2016 Share #10 Posted May 5, 2016 My own experience was that Leica replaced the sensor of my M9 with the new-type one even without me asking, when I sent my camera in for problems with the circuit board. I guess they will replace it with the new one if they deemed it necessary (i.e. they detect signs of corrosion on it)?
MichaelToye Posted May 5, 2016 Author Share #11 Posted May 5, 2016 Yeah, someone at Leica confirmed my corrosion. This is a typical frame from my MM...
