The reds were so vivid, I was keen to see how the sensor behaved. The original image is far better than it shows on this web image. At 100%, the original shows fine detail and no bleeding.

I did bring the saturation down slightly, anticipating what woul happen, but it then became a bit flat. Any suggestion how to maintain the vibrancy?

Perhaps it's my workflow, but I find that if I process the image in LightRoom, using what I believe to be a properly calibrated Eizo monitor, if I then export the file as the largest Jpeg, what then appears on the forum is pretty ordinary, and the colour balance on a Mac or iPad is quite difference (I guess that means my monitor isn't properly calibrated).

Here is a link to the original DNG file for anyone who wants to play.  As you can see, the reads don't bleed and there's lots of detail in the original.

I hope somebody has a solution for this - I could use one, very now and then for blooming reds.

I find the solution is to under expose 1.5 to 2 stops, that tends to preserve the vivid colours of the flowers.  Then bring the levels up gently in Lightroom
