Stilton Cheese Classic Vehicle Run

Last Sunday 24 April 2015 the annual Stilton Cheese Classic Vehicle Run culminated in various classic cars and motorcycles arriving at the Bell Inn, Stilton in Cambridgeshire where following snaps were taken using my Leica SL 601 / SL 24-90mm.

Daimler SP 250 … one of the few British cars with an 'English designed and made' 2.5 litre V8 engine - fibre glass body and used as motorway police cars in the 1960s.

The cheese Run is from Uppingham to Stilton and we intercepted it at Bulwick where many vehicles stopped for a lunch break at New Lodge Farm.

 

It was a very cold wind and overcast so we didn't stop long as wife's interest in old cars is far less than it is in keeping warm.

and a bit of nostalgia, this is the model of car she had when we got married, almost 50 years ago. Hers was pea green.
