Gibbo Posted April 25, 2016 Share #1 Posted April 25, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Is there a problem with the mechanism for taking payment for our membership subscription? I received an email, apparently from the forum, telling me that my subscription via PayPal had failed due to a problem with my credit card and that a second attempt to extract payment would take place on the 20th April. So I did nothing. On the 20th I received another email saying the payment had failed, again due to a problem with my credit card. This had me somewhat confused as I am making regular payments elsewhere via PayPal with no problems at all. So this time I logged onto the forum and made a manual payment which was accepted. This morning I have had another email stating: Your subscription to Premium Membership has been cancelled because your credit card is invalid. You will not be invoiced for this Subscription again. What is happening? There is nothing wrong with my credit card but there does appear to be a problem with the forum! Am I a member or not? The issue seems to be on Paypal's side. From time to time they insist on CC payment without any obvious reason. Can you forward me the mail about the subscription cancellation via PN? Did it come from the forum software or Paypal? If anyone else experiences similar issues please contact me directly. I'm sure we can iron out all problems... jaapv Posted April 25, 2016 Share #6 Posted April 25, 2016 I had the same problem with Amazon.... For one one-click buy everything was fine, for the next "payment was declined by your credit card"... I made a manual payment and my Premium Membership has been restored but I still got the emails telling that payment had failed etc. Just so you know, everything's fine now. Pete. Pete, I have had exactly the same experience, couldn't upload, saw advertisements and had to pay manually with CC to reinstall/renew my Premium Membership. This was on the 16th of April. 4 days (20th) later the same amount (48 Euro's) was automatically charged by PayPal on my regular account (no CC) to a German Account.
