I am trying to install/use a new PrimeFilm 7200 scanner on a MacBook running El Capitan 10.11.4. Was able to install software/drivers from disk, but am finding that "Cyberview X" is "initializing scanner" for a couple of hours now. Have already quit Cyberview X and restarted once.

 

Has anyone else experienced this problem? is it normal to take so long to initialize a scanner?

Never mind. After spending half my morning trying to set this up with the driver software included in the box, I visited the websit and downloaded software/driver for Mac 10.5 and higher. Seems to be working like a charm now.

 

maybe this will be of some use to some other, future buyer of this machine.
