Any Lightroom tricks to allow DNG imports only

I have had my T system for a few months now and it has become my favorite camera.  It does have its anomalies with one being the creation of JPG's with the DNG's

Is there a Lightroom trick to allow DNG file imports only.  Right now after import, I have to select the JPG's in grid view with a filter and delete them.

My Lightroom imports DNG or RAW files only. I'll look at the settings and get back to you.

In the General preferences, specify the following import options:

  1. Show Import Dialog When A Memory Card Is Detected. ...
  2. Select the Current/Previous Import collection during import. ...
  3. Ignore Camera-Generated Folder Names When Naming Folders. ...
  4. Treat JPEG Files Next To Raw Files As Separate Photos.

Thank you for the input.  This approach still imports the JPG's but as sidecars thus taking up space.  The JPG sidecars are not  something I will ever use.  It is true that the JPG's no longer appear on the import list.

This has almost got to the stage of needing a sticky, it comes up every few weeks.

Simplist way is to copy only the raw files from the camera to a folder on your computer outside of Lightroom and then import to the Lightroom catalogue from the folder, don't use Lightroom to copy the files to the computer at all.

I dont even copy them off the camera, (except for family snapshots which are only shot as jpegs), for any serious work the raws will need some work and then if I need jpegs I generate them from Lightroom after processing.

I'm not sure what you mean by this; you can zoom in in playback when shooting DNG only.

Yes, however the camera is still generating JPGs to allow you to see the previews. If shooting with the M or S as DNG only they aren't saved of course. I don't know the reasons why the function is different with the T. The  X cameras are the same. I have no experience with the Q. Perhaps related to what is generated for LiveView anyway?

I understand that the basic embedded preview in a DNG is very low resolution which didn't matter with the M8 or M9 for example.
