Leica USA's 12% savings program ending on May 10

I know it's technically the end of a discount but considering it's been in effect for over a year I'd personally take it as a price increase.

 

I find it particularly interesting because the announcement comes on the heels of Leica Camera AG announcing increases in both sales and profits.  But the exchange rates haven't gotten any better for the Euro since the program was instituted.

Another thing is that the prices don't appear to be uniformly increasing by 12%.  For example the APO-Summicron 50 is increasing from $7,230 to $7,795.
