Less than a year ago, commenting on my publication of clouds' images, Paul (pauledell) of New Haven wrote : "Why not a thread full of clouds?", on the model of the trees' one. We never started it, but I remain fascinated by clouds - that I used to haunt as a pilot many years ago - and aim my Leica at same at least once a week. I would even add that with today's easiness (and economy) offered by digital photography, it nearly became an addiction.

This long introduction to justify the fact that this morning, I clicked again against the sky to register a curious cloud born from a strong North wind in altitude. And when putting the image in my "Clouds" file, I went through - once more - and selected a few images that I submit here - after reducing size to comply with Forum limitations.

After this morning shot, I propose two photos of "lenticulars", these peculiar high altitude, immobile and frozen clouds, well known by glider pilots for their "ascending" virtues. Follow some nice weather cumulus on the sea, and finally a series of six storm-announcing formations.
