I have never tried my 15mm Voigtländer lens before with the M9-P, because 15mm is much to wide for me on full frame. I have bought it for my APS-C Fuji camera. But sometimes it works very well with my Leica.

Having lived in northern California close to 40 years, I long ago discovered that it is an area in which one could spend a lifetime and not come close to exhausting the photo opportunities that abound.

I particularly find myself drawn to the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, a 435-mile long granite fault block with a gently sloping West side and a precipitous Eastern face full of geological & natural wonders.

A short series of images from an earlier '16 trip to the relatively pristine and protected old ( approx. 1860 - 1920 ) mining town of Bodie, near the Cal-Nevada border and a couple of images from Mono Lake.

All SL & 24-90 Vario-Elmarit.

Thanks for looking,

Image #3 - 'Dead Vegetation' - Mono Lake. This body of water has no inlet or outflow, snowmelt and evaporation keep the level relatively constant,.........it has a higher salt content than the Dead Sea.

Image #4 - Another from the abondoned old mining town of Bodie, where, at the peak of the frenzy to extract all the gold in the late 1880s population grew to 20,000 people.

Thanks for looking,
