trip isn't until July, plenty of time to experiment with Ektar, shooting at ISO 80, which essentially means sunny 16 at 1/64 rather than 1/125 unless I go to half stops on aperture...... like 1/125 and f/11.5?

I rate Ektar at 80 as a general rule without any filters.

On a sunny day with an EV of 15, I guess that would be 1/125 at f11.5, although if there is a good amount of detail in low EV zones I probably would go to f11.

I'd bring that nifty incident and spot meter that you have and you'll be very well served :)

Just remember, though, to use the incident meter for the slide film, assuming the light falling on the white ball on the meter is the same light that is falls on the brightest subject in your scene (if you are in a shadow and shooting a scene with lots of light falling on it, the incident meter will not give a correct reading for the scene, and the best starting point will be to meter on the very brightest spot on the scene and then add 1.5 to 2 stops of exposure.

Landscape: Fuji Velvia 50

People: Fujicolor Pro 400H

Velvia 50 is my favorite E-6 emulsion - I have shot a lot of it over the years.  Unfortunately, Fuji has announced that beginning in March, thy will cease production of Velvia 50 in 35mm format.  Better stock up while we still can...  :(
