Louis Posted February 13, 2016 Share #1 Posted February 13, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) It was an unpredictable snow fall. By the time I took my camera and ran to my balcony, snowing was already ended! Leica T, Nikkor 17-55 mm, f/208

A miller Posted February 13, 2016 Share #3 Posted February 13, 2016 the processing is quite chunky for me, Louis. But it seems like it was a really surreal scene!

allamande Posted February 14, 2016 Share #5 Posted February 14, 2016 Louis, The sheer force of the storm is abundantly visible through your mastery of the medium. Love this set! Ece

A miller Posted February 14, 2016 Share #7 Posted February 14, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) We have very different tastes, Sir! Louis - Looking at these again, I actually think that the low resolution of the max uploadable file size may somewhat interfere with the force of the photos, at least to my eyes. And I also wanted to say that I recently saw a photo of a NYC cityscape that was similarly processed in a gallery in lower Manhattan (on Pine Street between Broad and Broadway). If that photo was interesting enough to take precious real estate on a Manhattan gallery wall, yours should be as well. It is a shame that we are not able to get the full force of the artists rendition on this forum...
A miller Posted February 14, 2016 Share #8 Posted February 14, 2016 What does it mean "chunky"? insufficient tonal transition coupled with excessive grain, as it appears on this low res version, which I explained above could be (and probably is) unfairly emphasized by the low res limits... larsv Posted February 14, 2016 Share #9 Posted February 14, 2016 Nice, very nice! Especially the first one.
Iduna Posted February 15, 2016 Share #10 Posted February 15, 2016 Louis, the first one is the winner for here all the power of the energies is assembled: light, dark impending atrocities and hope to see the whole storm vanish. The whole series is good and here I think the processing and graininess is adding to the surreal features.

Louis Posted February 16, 2016 Author Share #13 Posted February 16, 2016 Dear friends, thank you so much for your kind and encouraging feedback. This was a fast passing and I must admit, an apocalyptic scene that I was able to shoot and share with you. I also prefer the first shot like most of you, and l find the last shot a little too busy, but I thought it could complete a "set"!
