I had in my collection a curious bi-color screw-mount Summilux 1:1.4/50 mm numbered 1688542. It had a normal chrome focusing mount, but the head, clearly a first version, was black anodized. I could not find de papers back, but I remember that when interrogated, the Belgian Leitz representative only confirmed it was a SOWGE. It is in Laney's "bible" that I discovered that "Leitz for some time supplied screw mounts to suit existing M-lenses as a factory-only conversion". Was it the case of my curious item?
