thighslapper Posted January 29, 2016 Share #4 Posted January 29, 2016 I have 5 of these that eat all the bird food in my garden, dig holes, chew holes in the feed bins and destroy the feeders. Sad to say, this is how I would like to find the little pests ...... .... nice photo though .....

fotografr Posted February 5, 2016 Share #8 Posted February 5, 2016 Several years ago I was out walking and came across this scene. One squirrel had been hit by a car and killed. The one standing next to the body was, I suppose, either a mate or just one of the gang. Seeing this made me wonder very seriously whether we underestimate other animal's capacity for emotion. Yeah, they eat my bird seed, too. But it's hard to blame them for going after a food source I put in front of them. I get as much enjoyment watching their antics as I do watching the birds. Cheers, Welcome, dear visitor! Iduna Posted February 5, 2016 Share #9 Posted February 5, 2016 Louis, a great b&w capture! Brent, you completed Louis's story with a fantastic capture. Yes, we can hardly blame those furry animals when we invite them with food. Are we involved emotionally? Yes, we are and thi is good. Thank you both for the story!
