I successfully upload pics on a daily basis to the forum, but today when I try and upload I'm getting a pink box displayed stating: Upload Skipped (Error IO)

No idea why.

I haven't changed anything whatsoever in terms of the usual size of images etc.

Any ideas?

Strange

No problem here...

Have you changed your OS, or browser recently?

Hi Andy

Thanks. Nope. Get the same message trying to upload files from either of my external drives, or my internal hard drive.

Most odd, and annoying.  Seems to be local to me then.

Cheers

John

Hi, as a thought, have you maybe changed the format (jpeg/png etc..) Are you using jpeg/resized for your Forum images?

Try Logging Out of All websites, Turn Off your computer - Restart..

Why not email the image direct to a Moderator - then see if they can Post it on the Forum..

Have you tried Posting on the Forum from a different computer?..

Hi

Thanks for your suggestions. As you'll be aware, like you, I post daily on Barnack's monthly. I am well used to uploading images to the forum in the correct size and format, so this is puzzling me. I seem to be able to upload via the basic uploader whereas before I could use the advanced tool without issues (but not now). That may be the key therefore.

Regards

I'm having the same problem although a slightly different twist.  I always use the "more reply options" button at bottom right but this morning when i pressed it I received an error message telling me that my Flash version was out of date (I've never received that message through the Forum before).  I duly updated Flash, tried again and pressed the "Choose" button to select the photo to upload and the "Choose" button changed to "Plugin failure". I've rebooted my iMac but no change.

Andreas …. ?

Okay I've managed to upload a picture with a workaround.  I used the "More reply Options button", used the "Choose" button and got the "Plugin failure" error message but used the link below "try our basic uploader", selected the photo and it uploaded as normal.  The "try our advanced uploader (requires Flash 9)" isn't working for me even though I've updated to the latest as i was asked.

Pete.

Thats exactly the problem which prompted this thread. I too am now using the same basic uploader workaround, and my Flash doings are up to date....
