cbretteville Posted March 21, 2016 Share #21 Posted March 21, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I kept coming back to my 28 Summicron when I had the M8, That and the 24 Elmarit, both excellent on the cropped sensor. pressed to select one, it would be the 28. Advertisement Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Hi cbretteville, Take a look here Which single focal length do you shoot ?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
enboe Posted April 2, 2016 Share #22 Posted April 2, 2016 28/2.8 is a favorite, ASPH version when shooting E39 filters, Version-III when shooting my "cheap kit". I do need more practice with the 24 as I find I like the 28 FOV on full frame bodies, and the 24 is as wide as you can use on the M8 and still have internal frame lines. JochenSch Posted May 1, 2016 Share #23 Posted May 1, 2016 50mm. My M8 is doing products in a studio, while I'm carrying the Monochrom around. - 90mm is too hard to frame and the wider ones wouldn't focus close enough.
