Thanks Erl. It's from that perfect week when sunset and leaving work were in alignment, along with some nice sunsets.

I'm loving the very low winter light we're getting at the moment here, always quite soft even during the middle of the day.

Here's to good light on all our weekends :)

Thank you war. You are absolutely correct. I neglected to put a smiley face at the end of that first sentence. It was made in jest. Mountains in south east Queensland are mere hills in comparison to other places like Europe and, as I was thinking when typing, the cols of the Tour d'France which I have been watching.

The distance to the Brisbane CBD is about 3kms or so. I only cropped the right edge a very small amount to balance the image.

Foggy mornings in Brisbane are a very rare sight and I took these images on the long way 'round to work along with a host of other photographers and a news crew standing either side of me.

Appreciate your comments.

Nice Hardy, the corrected vertical of the foreground skyscraper really helps highlight what a barmy setup Surfers is.

Finally got around to uploading some Waverley Cemetery shots (from 1st May?!) Not sure if I should post them here?

I lost a roll of HP5+ to 'brown developer' - shame I had to make that roll my one time making that particular mistake - but still have a couple of rolls of C41 culled down to 10 or so shots.

Thanks Richard.

I'm tending to use more perspective correction in Lightroom lately. I'm looking to buy a new M when it's released  :D and maybe a PC/TS lens and have the flexibility of using the colour sliders when post processing converted B+W files. I love my MM and what I've been able to capture but sometimes for architecture the PP is limited.

Great shot and memory of a wonderful afternoon session. Location, location, location. Its got to be one of the most expensive tracts of real estate in Sydney that will never be used by the living.

I think if you and MarkP are still keen we could start a separate thread featuring Waverley and/or other cemeteries.

Totally agree about perspective correction, especially living in 'vertical cities' like Brisbane/Sydney.

Keystoning is one of those things only photographers probably even notice but once you notice it, it's just impossible to ignore.

I'm sometimes tempted by the 28mm R shift lens.

I guess these are all just little toys relative to larger format movements but at least the MM gives you so much resolution to correct/crop etc.

A new thread sounds good to me..
