frankny212 Posted December 20, 2015 Share #1 Posted December 20, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello! I am shooting mostly in black and white high contrast and save also the raw file too. On my macbook pro it is easy to develop both files in lightroom but on the iPad ? I know there is a mobile version of LR but I don't want to pay every month for a mobile subscription. Do you know any good app to develop a dng (raw) file on the iPad air 2? thanks so much for your help. i bought photogene4 but it is only showing the jpg file not the raw file. Best regards from Hamburg, Frank

Jed Orme Posted December 20, 2015 Share #2 Posted December 20, 2015 I've only used Photogene on my iPad 2 for JPEG, but according to this link, v.4 can be used as a complete RAW editor: http://www.cultofmac.com/245470/photogene-4-full-resolution-raw-editing-on-ios/
prk60091 Posted December 20, 2015 Share #3 Posted December 20, 2015 (edited) Photogene is my current DNG editor of choice but photoraw or piRAWnha also work well Edited December 20, 2015 by prk60091
oldwino Posted December 21, 2015 Share #4 Posted December 21, 2015 Photo gene works pretty well. It is not super flexible, but on well exposed files it does just fine.

Exodies Posted December 23, 2015 Share #6 Posted December 23, 2015 It may be stacking the two files, perhaps there is an option to use either the DNG or the jpg as the main file like the photos app does
Alberti Posted January 2, 2016 Share #7 Posted January 2, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Frank, I am investigating the 'light' route of an iPad pro to replace my laptop. The pro has a significant advantage. I tested the Connection Kit & Photos: DNG's are not opened on the iPad. But PhotoRaw does that. I like what I saw from the PhotoRaw app. It has M & M Monochrome DNG support. I have not tested it yet though. By the way, LightroomMobile is now free (since two weeks). Adobe advocates a workflow using their cloud.

You can download PhotoRaw Lite, which is free, and test most features using that.
