I'm very upset that as I was on foot I couldn't follow the cloud in time before it built up further and spectacularly collapsed over the city.

I understand your frustration, photography is so much a matter of luck/timing, or even whether you have the car or not! But don't be sad...this is a great shot and the colours are really unusual.

You're sure to get another opportunity as these big storm fronts scoot up the coast to Sydney on a fairly frequent basis, just stand by on your favourite cliff top perch.
