Abram Posted January 21, 2016 Share #41 Posted January 21, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) How well does the ZM 21 Biogon behave on the M240? Do the in-camera profiles correct it enough, or does one have to use the flat field plugin? I really wanted to like the little CV 21/4 but I think I just had a bad copy, the corners never ever got even close the concept of "sharp". Wound up getting the 21 Ultron which is indeed impressive, but I find I don't use it much due to its size / weight. However it doesn't leave me wanting when it comes to end results. Dan Bachmann Posted February 22, 2016 Share #49 Posted February 22, 2016 I probably have the least exotic UWA here: the Voigtlander Color Skopar 21mm M. I went for the M mount version over the LTM simply because I liked the way the focus knob felt. Since I'm not much of an UWA shooter, the Skopar is a winner for me since it takes almost no real estate in my bag. Here's my first shots taken at my parent's place in Asheville, NC, USA with a Leica M9.

Peter Branch Posted February 23, 2016 Share #58 Posted February 23, 2016 Mereworth, Kent M-P240, CV 15/3 Is there a reason for the rather unusual effects in the sky? I'm suspicious of the large image size, 17.8" X 11.9", but very low, 72ppi, resolution of the Jpeg file.

Musotographer Posted February 23, 2016 Share #60 Posted February 23, 2016 Is there a reason for the rather unusual effects in the sky? I'm suspicious of the large image size, 17.8" X 11.9", but very low, 72ppi, resolution of the Jpeg file. You are quite right to be suspicious - I had completely forgotten that I had cropped the original by quite a lot. I should never have posted it on this thread - I shall be more careful in future and check the original. My apologies to all, but no deception was intended! The sky - it was a very dull day, and it had virtually no interest at all, but I managed to tease out of it what you see, and rather liked the effect, artificial though it may be. I'll look for something uncropped from the same lens......
