Advertisement Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Hi ShivaYash, Take a look here Aki Asashi coverings? Any good?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
TomB_tx Posted November 28, 2015 Share #2 Posted November 28, 2015 I've used them on a couple of III series and some old Pentax bodies. Fit was perfect, easy to apply. I don't recall which material codes I ordered, but they looked quite original to me. I'd recommend them as a source.

Matt Posted December 11, 2015 Share #6 Posted December 11, 2015 I have an Asashi cover on my MP. I believe it's the 4008, although I can't be sure. Either way I'm very happy with it. I'm based in London so if you'd like to meet over a coffee to have a look in person, let me know. .matt

If I buy the coffee would you be willing to help me change the leather skin on my M6? ;-)
Matt Posted December 14, 2015 Share #8 Posted December 14, 2015 Thanks very kind. If I buy the coffee would you be willing to help me change the leather skin on my M6? ;-) I think I'll pass on that one thanks I don't trust myself doing things like that, let alone doing it on someone else's pride and joy .m
ShivaYash Posted December 14, 2015 Author Share #9 Posted December 14, 2015 I think I'll pass on that one thanks I don't trust myself doing things like that, let alone doing it on someone else's pride and joy .m ;-) no worries. Did you have yours covered by someone in london? I'll ask Leica Mayfair if they can recommend someone. I'm happy to do it myself but just don't want to risk ruining the skin. I've seen some videos on YouTube that suggest alcohol on the sticky side to allow for adjustment before it sets but still... I'd like the best fit possible. I've actually ordered the original calf (pressed ostrich) for my camera from Leica Melbourne. It worked out a few pounds more than the Asashi but it's not to have the original leather skin. I already have the 4008 on my camera and agree it's very nice. It came with this on, the last owner applied it only 6 months or so ago. Welcome, dear visitor! spydrxx Posted December 15, 2015 Share #11 Posted December 15, 2015 If you just take your time it isn't hard. Cameraleather has a good set of instructions.
