50mm Rigid Polish and Recoat? (photos attached)

Hi all,

 

I recently obtained a rigid with a slight haze and circular scratch inside the rear element.  Took few photos outdoor and I can't seem to decide if I should send it off to polish and recoat.  Your expert eyes are likely more credible than mine.  Here are the photos of the haze and scratches:

 

 

 

 

 

 

I've attached the shots I took with the rigid.  Not sure if photobucket resizing matters but the original images are sharper than this:

I'd have it go through a CLA with a good tech (DAG, Sherry Krauter, Youxin Ye) as this looks like something that may clean up well without going as drastic as polish and re-coat.

And even removing the old coating might be enough. In  practice the coating on these old lenses was not very effective anyway.

Not sure if cla will remove the scratches but I'll give it a shot.

Sharpness is is last thing to go.   First tone, then color and contrast,  buy the time sharpness is gone, the lens is a total mess.

Are you sure that's not slight separation?

 

I wouldn't be inclined to spend too much on this lens, but would send it for a usual CLA and see what the tech says.
