platypus Posted November 19, 2015 Share #3 Posted November 19, 2015 Iduna, this is lovely in it's simplicity. From the top: clouds, mountains (birds) and ocean all have the same rolling, repetitive forms, combining to make a very pleasing whole.
Iduna Posted November 19, 2015 Author Share #4 Posted November 19, 2015 Stuart, thank you! Dee, nice, you recognized these dainty faint lines! Thank you, I was naot sure whether it worked.
AndreasAM Posted November 19, 2015 Share #5 Posted November 19, 2015 Iduna My compliments, a beautiful layered landscape in greytones, behind a lively blue patterned sea. Great composition and lighting! Is it me,or is your horizon a tad off? I know it is just nitpicking,, but with a just simple beautiful compositions this, it is in the detail. But hey, I am an architect and a bit anal about these things.
Iduna Posted November 19, 2015 Author Share #6 Posted November 19, 2015 Andreas, very nice, thanks for your kind feedback. About the horizon you may be right but I think since my position was not parallel to the surf this causes the impression about the horizon...
david strachan Posted November 21, 2015 Share #7 Posted November 21, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) The horizon is dead straight on my monitor. Now we have to correct for tilt as well as colour??? I like the opalescence in the water. Very nice Iduna. cheers Dave S

Iduna Posted November 24, 2015 Author Share #9 Posted November 24, 2015 David, thanks for your commitment. Complex tilt/shift operations should be done during the shoot. But those are differtn subjects then....good idea for future captures. Rodrigue, thank you so much! I can now just imagine how it may have looked like with my new Q which I have in my hands now sinc last weekend!!!
Toshack10 Posted November 24, 2015 Share #10 Posted November 24, 2015 Lovely - I think the light sharpening the top of the breaking wave adds to the foreground a great deal.

Iduna Posted November 26, 2015 Author Share #12 Posted November 26, 2015 James, you mentioned an issue. Yes I thought to bring it out even more but was a bit reluctant because the balance has to be kept here. I'll go back to that file and check it out. Thanks a lot for your comment. Stuart, many thanks for visiting the beach....
