Hi everyone. My first post here and it might seem strange. Would anyone be able to answer these questions?

Do all new Leica M bodies come with the little bit of film protecting the LCD?

Do the new batteries always come completely empty or with some charge?

I'm trying to see whether or not I was sold a display or opened unit which is having some problems now. Thanks.

The batteries always have some charge.

I have seen bodies with and without film on the LCD when new.

There is the possibility the box was opened and the camera shown to someone which has no effect.

The most important thing is that you were sold a "new" camera with full factory warranty.

Doesn't that only work with the memory card that has been used in the camera since the start?

No.

Take a photo ( jpg or DNG) and run it though M9info and it will tell you the shutter count.

The shutter count is incremented every shot and stamped into the exif data in the next photo file.

The actual SD card is irrelevant.

Best Rgds
