Noctilux 0.95 aperture click stop

Unfortunately the aperture doesn't open any wider. It's just the aperture ring doesn't stop dead on at 0.95. It was like that when I bought it (new). I suppose I could send it in but then I wouldn't see it for months and it's not affecting the performance or usability of the lens in any way.

In my case, it click stops at 1/2 a stop below the 0.95 and can be opened further (the diaphragm disappears if you look inside the lens).  However, there is not a clock at that further opening.

So is yours really an f/0.7?

My Noctilux will rotate slightly past the 0.95 click. When I first got it I wondered what was going on. Are you sure you're not seeing the same behaviour? There should only be a single 1/2 stop between 0.95 and 1.4.

Mine does this too. Very slightly. I guess it's not a big deal, but I would have thought it wouldn't, at this price!
