G. van Asch Posted October 21, 2015 Share #1 Posted October 21, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just bought the Leica 109 very nice camera. My M8 and M6 are great but this an easy to use small camera. I put all details on owners page and wanted to download lightroom 6. On the owners page Leica says I will receive a redemption code. Adobe never sent me a redemption code. Thus anyone knows how to get this code? Thanks G. van Asch
Advertisement Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Hi G. van Asch, Take a look here Leica 109 Lightroom6. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Le Chef Posted October 21, 2015 Share #2 Posted October 21, 2015 (edited) You need to register your camera with Leica on their website. There's a member area where you need to input serial numbers etc. That should also trigger the release of the code to download LR. If you be done all that a correctly you should get a welcome email from Leica. If you have not got the code by now email Leica customer service with your details and ask them to help. You should also check your spam folder just in case...Others here will have more details, but that's what I remember doing. G. van Asch Posted October 22, 2015 Author Share #4 Posted October 22, 2015 I send an email to Leica support yesterday afternoon. This afternoon they send me the Adobe redemption code for Lightroom 6. Great service that's what Leica is about. I can now choose between Apple photo's and lightroom! thanks for your answers as well, Gerjan van Asch
chinnski Posted October 22, 2015 Share #5 Posted October 22, 2015 If you're an Apple Mac user, make sure you have the latest OS installed. I had to upgrade to the latest version of the Mac OS to be able to load Lightroom 6. Before that it was only going to let me download LR5. G. van Asch Posted October 23, 2015 Author Share #7 Posted October 23, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks Louis, I'm living in Holland and am a great Leia fan. I bought my M6 in New York and The M8 and 109 in Holland. I was reading the Steve Huff mail about the new Leica 601. He must be payed by Sony!!! roydonian Posted March 13, 2016 Share #8 Posted March 13, 2016 I duly registered my new D-Lux on the Leica website today, inserted my TAN, and received an email containing my redemption code, and the address: https://redeem.licenses.adobe.com/getserial However, visiting that site produced a login that needs an Adobe ID, which I have as a result of having bought an earlier version of Photoshop. Instead of offering my allegedly-free version of Lightroom 6, Adobe downloaded software called 'Adobe Creative Cloud', but when run, all this does is to propose that I update all my Adobe software to the CC version, which I understand to be subscription-based. So how do I get my Lightroom 6?
andybarton Posted March 14, 2016 Share #9 Posted March 14, 2016 You have to look hard for it, but it is there on the Adobe website.
roydonian Posted March 14, 2016 Share #10 Posted March 14, 2016 I carefully repeated the process this morning. The web address given by Leica leads to an Adobe login, which in turn leads to a page into which your serial number must be inserted. And that page leads directly to a download page for Creative Cloud. (And having gotten onto my machine, Creative Cloud refused to unistall - I had to google search for a method of geting rid of it.) mikemgb Posted March 25, 2016 Share #11 Posted March 25, 2016 I'm having the same problem, all I get is the CC download, I'm trying to work this out now.
roydonian Posted March 27, 2016 Share #12 Posted March 27, 2016 (edited) I emailed Leica, who responded: "Please follow the installation of Lightroom CC. You will find on opening of this the program will ask wether you are opening this as a trial or have a registration code. Upon entering the code you have, Lightroom CC will change to the Lightroom 6 which will requires no further subscription." However, I have since discovered that the Lightroom 6 installation files can be directly downloaded from the following https address: helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/lightroom-downloads.html Edited March 27, 2016 by roydonian
mikemgb Posted March 29, 2016 Share #13 Posted March 29, 2016 This worked, thank you, I clicked on the Install Lightroom CC button and it installed Lightroom 6.
