Louis Posted October 7, 2015 Share #3 Posted October 7, 2015 A beautiful shot with lots of atmosphere. I wonder if it was possible to straighten the main central arch?
pauledell Posted October 8, 2015 Share #4 Posted October 8, 2015 Beautiful lighting and colors along with the sharpness. Paul

Iduna Posted October 8, 2015 Share #6 Posted October 8, 2015 very good. I like the frame and the great lightmanagement here. The highlights are very well controlled and the shot is very clear without any noise.
thighslapper Posted October 8, 2015 Author Share #7 Posted October 8, 2015 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) A beautiful shot with lots of atmosphere. I wonder if it was possible to straighten the main central arch? I think with a 12mm lens any attempts at straightening anything here are fraught with difficulty ..... something else will just look squint instead ...... and lose a fair chunk of the image .... .... and if you look at some other shots of this church I posted aligned with the arch you will see it isn't actually straight anyway .... I took this perched precariously on some chairs in the corner by the vestry with the tripod on various ledges and chair backs ..... surprised there was no shake as the longest exposure was 16 seconds ...... Iduna ...... I confess this is a 3 shot HDR ...... it is so dark in this church that shadow recovery is impossible ...... luckily I use Oloneo Photoengine which produces very natural images and MUCH better than the LR implementation and any other HDR processors I have used. Thanks for all your comments ...... will be printing this A2 to go with the Easter version I have for the Church to frame and keep ...... Anyway .... here's one for Louis...
