My first entry "Berlin S-Bahn walker" was taken in Berlin (April 2014) as the train was approaching behind me. It's similar to a classic B&W shot, almost looks like the 1950s. Taken with my 1953 IIIf, Summitar 5cm lens, 1/100 exposure, f4, focus about 70 feet, using lovely Ilford XP2 ISO400 film.

My second entry stretches "walking" into skating. From December through March the neighbourhood boys gather at the local outdoor rink and play "shinny" (hockey without full equipment) for hours, even at -15 temperature. In March 2015 I took this picture (a crop from the original) using my IIIf with Elmar 5 cm f3.5 lens, 1/200 second exposure at f5.6, focus about 7 meters, and using outdated Kodak 100 TMAX film.

The Elmar is a good lens at middle apertures, slightly less sharp and perhaps lower contrast than a Summicron, but works well in outdoor situations when a compact screwmount camera is best. And after 30 minutes of shooting at -10 temperature, I put the camera in a sealed plastic bag before bringing it indoors, to minimise condensation.
