gvadf Posted December 29, 2016 Share #21 Posted December 29, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Mine has this Noise too. At The photokina fair in cologne a Service Specialist Named this as "normal" because of The moving AF Elements. If I Switch on The Q, There IS no Noise. My Q has now about 4000 clicks. Excellent pictures. No problems. Welcome, dear visitor! Joop Posted December 30, 2016 Share #22 Posted December 30, 2016 I started this threath and I think I can assure you in most cases nothing is wrong! I visited the Leica factory, and some specialist totally explained that this is normal for the camera. He explained it to me, and checked the camera, all totally normal, so for the last 8 months I am totally relaxed and just enjoy my camera ;-) In short: when the pictures you take are normal, and the camera acts normal, forget about the noise.

Photon42 Posted December 30, 2016 Share #24 Posted December 30, 2016 My Q rattles as well, when switched off. Since 18 months - no issues, other than the stupid lens cap, where the lining felt undid itself. Thanks to my local Leica dealer in Zurich the cap was replaced free of charge within 5 min. Joop Posted December 30, 2016 Share #26 Posted December 30, 2016 Same problem I had. Also when turned off. Wetzlar visit confirmed me it was 100% ok. And yés: same irritation with felt inside the lens hood. I don't even put the lens hood on anymore (have an extra filter on it fornprotection)

leg Posted January 9, 2017 Share #28 Posted January 9, 2017 I have another strange (thik-thik) sound on focus lock: http://vocaroo.com/i/s1Th304SakAG, this sound disappeared right now, i'm not sure what caused it to disappear but i was traveling and had camera in the backpack, now it's silent as it should be. Should i be worried?
