Advertisement Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Hi XVarior, Take a look here A walk on the beach. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pauledell Posted September 28, 2015 Share #2 Posted September 28, 2015 XV, A fun shot of the relaxation you get strolling with the camera. I find your shot to be a bit heavy on the contrast though. Paul
MarkP Posted September 28, 2015 Share #3 Posted September 28, 2015 Fabulous photo. However I must disagree here with Paul as I think the increased contrast with no loss of tonality really suits this dynamic photograph. It was shot with the sun relatively low, a situation where contrast would naturally have been much higher.

Louis Posted September 28, 2015 Share #5 Posted September 28, 2015 A superb shot, Rodrigue.... You and I seem to share the same feeling; I also find life at a beach and at sea. More specially when I am surrendered by pretty "mermaids"!...

Iduna Posted September 29, 2015 Share #13 Posted September 29, 2015 Rodrigue, very good in timing, perspective and rendering!
A miller Posted September 30, 2015 Share #14 Posted September 30, 2015 very nice, Rodrigue. But I am lost regarding the need to take a "hip shot" of a bunch of kids and rely on luck to make a nice photo. I am curious on what the reluctance was to take control of your framing and exposure and be more deliberate with what you want to include in your frame and go after that !!! Should practice that for the day I'll become your disciple in NY Streets :-)

A miller Posted October 2, 2015 Share #20 Posted October 2, 2015 (edited) How can I do that? I should shove you the color version. Told me what you think. very lovely although your B&W rendition is a better choice as it showcases the composition and form, with the boy's energy racing in one direction and the energy of the frisbee simultaneously jetting the opposite direction (and conveniently taking the eyes across the frame). The only thing that I really like about the color version that you give up in the B&W version is the color of the water. It is very film like. This is outweighed by the form elements I just mentioned. I would sign up to be a contributor to Getty. I was able to do a couple of years ago through my Flickr page. I unfortunately have a pile up to the clouds of photos that I haven't taken the time to contribute. But those that I have contributed have yielded royalties that have afforded me several cups of NYC coffee...
