ynp Posted September 22, 2015 Author Share #8 Posted September 22, 2015 Not very nice bokeh? Kirk No, it is nor a bokeh lens. Leicas are much more pleasant. I use it for general purpose photography as my main medium wide and travel lens. It is lightweight and very sharp from F4,5. Very capable for groups, landscapes etc. I avoid shooting it at close distances into the foliage and any busy background. I bought a Vario 30-90 several months ago and love the lens, IMO it's a truly universal lens, but it is heavy. One of the board members asked me to post some pictures. And I decided to show the character of the lens at a short distance. Yevgeny f8 crop Welcome, dear visitor! Manolo Laguillo Posted September 22, 2015 Share #9 Posted September 22, 2015 Thanks a lot, ynp! I've ordered a 30-90. I do own the 30, a heavy lens in itself, and from the specs the 30-90 is 200 gr heavier... The other day I was just screwing something with a weight of 200 gr on the S base to have an idea, but the difference between 2,500 and 2,700 gr is too small to be perceptible, it's below the threshold. We must invent something in order to carry that weight with the least strain... The Koenig bag specifically made for the S + one lens on is a nice design, and weights only 800 gr. Perhaps a sling-bag...

I tried it with the waist strap, it is supplied with. The waist strap in addition to the shoulder strap helps to redistribute weight, but is not perfect. I usually have a nylon foldable backpack with me in a pocket and put the Keinig into it, to carry on both shoulders when I do not shoot. Indeed , maybe a comfortable sling-bag is the answer. Manolo Laguillo Posted September 26, 2015 Share #11 Posted September 26, 2015 (edited) That's a very nice idea, the foldable nylon backpack, ynp! Thank you very much! This next week I'll be receiving the 30-90!!! I do have the 30 and the 70, and will conduct some comparisons between them and the 30-90. I will inform you...
