Leica M 240, Summilux 50mm ASPH Despite the name, this is not really a series that should be viewed together with the other image. This one has a different B&W conversion, and has a much higher contrast. schmolinski Posted September 21, 2015 Share #2 Posted September 21, 2015 Nice, except the blown highlights...
A miller Posted September 21, 2015 Share #3 Posted September 21, 2015 reminds me of the style of portraiture photography of Jan Scholz, who is a legend in this space...
platel Posted September 21, 2015 Author Share #4 Posted September 21, 2015 (edited) Nice, except the blown highlights... Thanks but there are no 'blown highlights'. I carefully watched that in Lightroom. What you might think of as 'blown highlights' is probably the reflection of the light on the oil on her body. Nonetheless, perhaps these reflections are better removed using the 'healing brush' in Lightroom. What do thing? Welcome, dear visitor! platypus Posted September 23, 2015 Share #7 Posted September 23, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) I think the lighting and pov used emphasises the legs, feet and toes too much. I like the rest of the image and the high contrast.
Louis Posted September 23, 2015 Share #8 Posted September 23, 2015 I think the lighting and pov used emphasises the legs, feet and toes too much. I like the rest of the image and the high contrast. I completely agree. I think the feet destroy this shot!
platypus Posted September 25, 2015 Share #9 Posted September 25, 2015 (edited) I completely agree. I think the feet destroy this shot! But I keep coming back to look at this.... Edited September 25, 2015 by platypus
platel Posted September 26, 2015 Author Share #10 Posted September 26, 2015 I de-emphasized the feet and legs a bit in post-processing by putting a slight gradient on the image. But in my opinion they also belong to the picture and the shape of the subject in the image. I do not agree that they "destroy" the image. Welcome, dear visitor!
