I love the concept behind the shot and the way you use the background. Really interesting. If I can just make a remarks, being a sort of fashion shot I do not get crazy about the bottom of the shoes visible to the viewer. I do not know if with shoes the concept of "doll" can be better given. But is just IMHO  ;)

Thanks for the comment. I agree about the bottom of the shoes, but changing that would imply either a less symmetrical pose (legs to the side) or a more 'active' pose with feet down. Any suggestions are more than welcome! I appreciate any comments and suggestions.

beautiful, Judging the picture from a stylistic point of view "fashion for example" shoes becomes a major SIN :-) but here, the bottom of the shoes adds to the abandoned mood, this is an abandoned pause in an abandoned building. What distracted me a bit is hands gesture. Excellent shot anyways.

PS: I can't take this 35mm FLE off my m9. Love it.

A fascinating composition, which tells many stories.  The setting adds to the originality of the image and piques the interest.  Details like the reflection of the windows in the tiles for me add more stories to the image.

I like the colour palette too, which is enhanced by the 70's looking clothes.

The pose is disturbing in all the right ways, with the doll like makeup and hand pose adding to the many possibilities and stories.

I'm ok about the soles of the feet, as for me this unusual aspect adds to the sense of resigned or maybe exhausted collapse of the figure.

Wow. Imo a remarkable photo. Great composition, IQ and double meaning in content from title. Please feel free to share how this was done. Planned or in-the-moment? Model consent? Etc.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, the picture was taken in Waterschei in Genk, Belgium, in an old mining building that is open for photographers. We went there with a group of photographers to shoot these models that were made up by stylists to look like dolls. I didn't like the theme that much but I really liked the location.
