Out of interest   would  you  have  to  use  the  'live  view'  system on the  M  to  compose  with  ?  I have  limited  practice  with  an  M6  and I have  the   3  pairs  of  bright  line  frames  which  would  be hard  to  use  with a  zoom .

Thank you all for your comments!  I guess that there's no way that I can see apertures on LR with a code setup...

And Hugh  : I use EVF but yes I sometimes use the live view. Either way, the process is so slow for my style of shooting. With a Sony system, it's bit faster.

You can practice with line frames of course.. and I have..  I was mad at some shots I missed the focus, then I don't use it anymore.

I   only  have  the ' pop up '  Elmar 5cm  f2.8 lens on my  M6  ,  so  I  compose  with the  bright  line  frame   and  focus  by  turning  the  lens  and  matching  up  the  two  squares in  the  viewfinder . Picture  focused !  .

Interesting  about   using  a  zoom  on  an  M . I have  not  had a  go  with the  live  view on  an  M .
