CYBORA Posted August 30, 2015 Share #1 Posted August 30, 2015 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, while I was uncapping the lens, the filter ring dropped and I couldn't find it. Now it is like this, https://www.ephotozine.com/articles/leica-q-hands-on-review-sample-photos-27644/images/highres-Leica-Q-4_1433939399.jpg The problem is that, it is not easy to cap the lens now. It is not stable while capped and once I found the cap was released in the bag. Could anyone please tell me where I can get a new filter ring from ? Thanks Edited August 30, 2015 by CYBORA

lucerne Posted August 30, 2015 Share #2 Posted August 30, 2015 (edited) I understand your problem. Until you locate a replacement, fit your lens shade and the lens cap fits the shade. I never take the shade off. Another thing to consider is that you might be tempted to fit a 49mm clear or UV filter, but unless it is very high quality you will be able to see the image degrade. A Leica dealer should be able to obtain a replacement ring. If - like me - you prefer not to keep your Leica lens shade on, I have acquired (on E***) a rubber collapsable lens shade to fit the 49mm thread. It works well and doesn't introduce any vignetting.
