lleo Posted August 23, 2015 Share #1 Posted August 23, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've read somewhere that some people use the screwmount lenses on compact digital cameras. I think it's on the Sony NEX or something like that. Is it also possible to use them on the digital Leicas? And, what does it get lost with the adapter? If any. Advertisement Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Hi lleo, Take a look here Schraublens on digital. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jc_braconi Posted August 23, 2015 Share #2 Posted August 23, 2015 Nothing as you can find adapters that can be coded you can also enter the kind of lens you use manually on the camera beginning with the M9
Michael Hiles Posted August 23, 2015 Share #3 Posted August 23, 2015 (edited) Pretty much all the older screw mount lenses will work on digital Ms. Collapsables might be best left extended, but further research might be advised. There are adapters available for 35mm. 50mm and 90mm lenses - they activate the correct frame lines in the M viewfinders. Leitz made them for many years, and I believe they are available in the aftermarket from other suppliers. Whether there are adapters for any other non-M Leicas, I don't know.
