Pointer Hovering Over Thread Title

IIRC, the old forum software used to display the first sentence or so of a thread when one hovered the mouse pointer over the thread title.  Sadly no more - all that is shown now is the thread title, reducing the 'feature' to zero use!  Can this very useful feature be reinstated?

There is to the right of the title - just to the left of the date and so on - a small icon with a downwards pointing arrow, as soon as you hover on the title. Clicking on that icon will produce parts of the first and the last post.

 

It's not as effortless as just hovering and not as fast, but it comes close, I think.

Thanks for the info, Philipp.  Certainly not as effortless nor anything like as convenient, but better than nothing, I suppose...
