Hello Leica friends,

As already pre-announced some weeks ago here in LUF, here is the final program for the annual Luxembourg-Trier Leica Meet and Greet that will take place on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September 2015.

In order to minimise stress for travelling and changing hotel accommodation, the 2015M&G will take place only in Luxembourg.

All meeting points will be near the Glacis parking in Luxembourg city which is 5 minutes walking distance from the city centre.

We will meet on Saturday 19th September around 12:00 at the Theaterstuff in Luxembourg City (49 Allèe Scheffer, Luxemburg) that is near the Place de Glacis.

We can have a few drinks and/or a small lunch and will leave around 14:00 for our photo walk.

Places to see will be the philharmonie of Luxembourg, dräi Eechelen (fortress), European Institutions, MUDAM, Clausen, Place d’Armes and a few more places.

We expect to be back at the neighbourhood of the Glacis around 18:00.

Our evening meal will take place at the big-beer company in Luxembourg-Clausen starting at 19:30.

We will make reservations for the group according to your requests to be indicated in the pol that I will ask to open soon.  http://www.bigbeercompany.lu/

On Sunday morning we will meet at 11:00 at the Glacis parking and will leave with our cars to Esch sur Alzette to visit Belval

If we find however out that there is no interest to visit the blast furnace in Belval we will be flexible and change the programme if needed!

We hope to be back about 17:00 at the Glacis in Luxembourg city again were we will try to find a local pub for some final thoughts.

Hotel recommendations:
Hotel Victor Hugo - 67€ -Near the Glacis

Sofitel and hotel Melia 92€ at the Kirchberg (walking distance to Glacis)

Double tree-Hilton and Hotel du Park (a bit outside but with bus connections to the centre)

Luxembourg has the presidency of the Council European Union during the second semester of 2015!

Until today we have received information from 15 persons who will be at our Luxembourg Leica Meet&Greet event.

So there are only 5 places left.

If you want to join this free event, hurry up, we will close registration when we have 20 people!

So sad to be missing y'all visiting my city (well, not really, I'm going to London!).

Bring rain gear for Saturday, Sunday may be better.

Hope you all have a good time.

Whenever you come back give me a shout, I'm always in the mood for a photowalk around Luxembourg.

Thanks to all the participants that came to Luxembourg last weekend.

The weather turned out to be great, lucky us.

Highlight was the visit to Belval on Sunday where we visited a blast furnace.

Ferdl has already posten some impressive B&W pics here from the blast furnace in the forum, so I will not report mine (Ferdls pics are in fact better compared to mine :-)  ).
