MM 3 shots taken when depress shutter once. *Repair?

Before I send my MM to NJ for costly repair is there anything I can do to fix my issue.

 

 

When in "A" mode, every time I depress shutter and take (1) photo, my MM fires 3  shots and overexposes by about 3-5 stops.

 

I am only having this issue in Auto mode in either "Single" mode or "Continuous" Mode.

 

If I set a shutter speed for ex 1/125 camera works fine.

 

Anything I can do to maybe "reset" camera or fix this problem?

 

Any idea what the problem is?

maybe bracketing is switched on?

I would check the bracketing options too as it's probably set to take 3 shots with differences in exposure. Resetting to 0 will fix it if that's the case.

Never I have I been so glad to be so dumb.

 

My kids must have gotten to my MM and switched on bracketing.  

 

 

All is good now.
