M-E paint issue - Passport question

Dear all,

Is anyone experiencing paint issues with the M-E? There is a strange mark, a very few scratch about 4mm, left of hotshoe, on the top plate of mine and I have no idea how it got there. Also, the screw in the hot shoe seems as if someone has fiddled with it. I had not noticed before. I am usually very careful but this is annoying me. I am one for patina so no doubt it will blend in, in time, but is the screw something that would be covered in the Leica Passport scheme? If so, how do I go about making a claim, or will Leica Mayfair be able to replace it in-store?

I am yet to see a probably brassed M-E but think it will look great in time.

Just out of curiosity, are the 4mm marks sort of short line type faint scratches to the left of the hotshoe on the top plate...almoat between the hot shoe and wnd of the camera body? Reason I ask is I saw these same kind of faint lines on am aquantances M-E.

Photo wouldn't show up the lines I desxribed on a aquantances M-E. Would be too faint. Some may not notice them as they are so very light and easily missed unless camera is tilted at just the right angle under proper lighting.
