Bill W Posted July 30, 2015 Share #4 Posted July 30, 2015 Those pesky viewfinders. How tall was she?
ChilledFrank Posted July 30, 2015 Share #5 Posted July 30, 2015 Thanks for showing, Stuart.
squanmis Posted July 30, 2015 Share #6 Posted July 30, 2015 Stu very nice photos However, you should have told them you are the official Grand Central Photographer. All you had to do is direct them to the Fourm to see the rest of your photos from the Terminal. By the way it's a great place to shoot. I really enjoy them because it reminds me of home down here in Norty Carolina. Keep them coming. John Yencik
stuny Posted July 30, 2015 Author Share #7 Posted July 30, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Bill - Close to six feet, but she looked taller since she was hired for the gig by a team of very short east Asian women flitting about her. "Frank" - Thank you. John - Thank you. Let me know when you're next up here so we can meet and shoot together.

XVarior Posted August 3, 2015 Share #10 Posted August 3, 2015 they asked to stop shooting because your was using a viewfinder?! I don't get it. :-(
Bill W Posted August 3, 2015 Share #11 Posted August 3, 2015 They assumed that anyone shooting with a viewfinder and not a cellphone must be a professional photographer and I guess might later make $ with the shots.

fotografr Posted August 4, 2015 Share #13 Posted August 4, 2015 This is a public space and while they are free to ask you to stop shooting you are in no way obliged to obey. Nice shots.
stuny Posted August 4, 2015 Author Share #14 Posted August 4, 2015 Brent - Thank you, and I was aware of that. I just moved. I had that happen once before, but I got the shot I wanted so I left. Iduna Posted August 7, 2015 Share #18 Posted August 7, 2015 Stuart, gorgeous shots all three of them! Interesting that only you were stopped. I think it is not because of the VF but because of that professional concentration. Recognizing you perhaps as a pro they were afraid of a competitor. But since they chose a public zone (some people risk without paying using a location and are off the place very quickly. Maybe you entered and disturbed probably such a shoot, with all those nervousness around) - But you nailed it!
stuny Posted August 7, 2015 Author Share #19 Posted August 7, 2015 Iduna - Thank you. I stood well off to either side of their photographer, and considerably further back. I took about 10 other images that failed to nail it.
