It's actually quite common to see expensive cars receive this treatment, but if I live to be a hundred, I'll not undertsand why.

The Texas plates may explain a lot in this case, but atill do not shed enough light on why buy a car normally condisered a to be a desirable choice and then pay to have it wrapped with mylar camo…………….too much money, not enough taste ?

I saw a Ferrari in London on Saturday - sped past - with some comic stip body wrap!

I think it's a way for those who can afford a relatively flashy motor - but not something REALLY exotic - to grab attention. The silver and gold foil wraps are rather passe!

Around now is when the mega rich fly into London with their supercars to crawl around the streets of Knightsbridge and Chelsea showing off. I must go up one evening and take some snaps.

Fine art as defined by those with the money.

A friend and I were taking a little tour in his new Lotus Europa (this was in 1972) and pulled into an old fashioned drug store for a soda when a gentleman came in and asked about the Lotus. "Oh, but you should see my car," he stated enthusiastically and waved us outside. He had a Mercury Cougar which was flocked in a vibrant blue color! I wasn't sure how he intended to clean bird poop off it.
