Advertisement Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 Hi stuny, Take a look here The most complex guitar inlay I've ever seen. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Guest Her Berger Posted July 27, 2015 Share #2 Posted July 27, 2015 Yes, its the 12 string Mermaid-Martin. Great MOP job, indeed, but not the most complex inlay job. Complex MOP job? Look at the Martin D100: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/MD100/ A collectors guitar, not a player. (Like some Leicas)

stuny Posted July 28, 2015 Author Share #5 Posted July 28, 2015 Me too. My second guitar was a tiny, well used Martin. The next was a D18 in about 1961. Currently a D12-28. and you?
Guest Her Berger Posted July 29, 2015 Share #6 Posted July 29, 2015 actually i own: D28 from '68 OM-21 (new) O-28 Ian Anderson prototype all equipped with AER AK15 PU and amplified with AER Acousticube III formerly i own a D35/12 But the fretboard is too wide for me, and keep a 12string in tune; horrible. stuny Posted July 29, 2015 Author Share #7 Posted July 29, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Lovely. I gave up on manual tuning of the 12-string, and use a Borg electronic device to aid me. My other current guitar (the 10th one I've owned. TheD12-28 was a generous gift from Barbara is #13) is the Epiphone equivalent to the Gibson Hummingbird from 1964: the Frontier FT110N
Bill W Posted July 30, 2015 Share #8 Posted July 30, 2015 How great, you reminded me of Leo Kottke. My wife bought tickets on my birthday several years ago to see him live in Austin. He was incredible. The opening artist was Laura Branigan. Sadly she has passed away. Wonderful night.

Bill W Posted August 1, 2015 Share #10 Posted August 1, 2015 It was Stuart, I had always been a big fan of Leo Kottke. I had never seen him live. It is just incredible what he can get out of a 12 string unaccompanied.
