Guest JMF Posted July 26, 2015 Share #1 Posted July 26, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I have a Nickel Hektor 50 2.5 and am using a SGOOZ with e39 filter yet I wonder if the thread around the front element is meant for something? ! Is the serial number located inside the lens barrel? Cheers ! Best, Jean-Marc
Advertisement Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Hi Guest JMF, Take a look here filter thread on Leitz Hektor 50 2.5 ?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
luigi bertolotti Posted July 27, 2015 Share #2 Posted July 27, 2015 I think that the thread mount was made for the near focus additional lenses (HELPIK etc.) The s/n (if present) is around the black front ring... many times so worn that is difficult to recognize.... Guest JMF Posted July 27, 2015 Share #3 Posted July 27, 2015 Thanks Luigi, my Hektor model has no sn . I'll try to figure out a useable filter to mount on that thread ! Have to guess the thread measurements first ! Best regards, Jean-Marc.

UliWer Posted July 28, 2015 Share #6 Posted July 28, 2015 I am not sure - being away from my Hektor and my filters - if the Hektor's inner thread was also 19mm, this was the size for the Elmar. Maybe 21mm for the Hektor's larger opening. I'll try later and report.

UliWer Posted July 28, 2015 Share #8 Posted July 28, 2015 Yes you are right, the 19mm version doesn't fit. I am rather sure it's 21 mm. Leitz did produce screw-in filters for the Hektor, though they must be extremely rare. You might ask http://www.foto-huppert.de/shop/subcat.asp?session=82607449192250160520118013214871&land=35&lang=de&status=&TopCatID=B# for B+W-Filters, or http://www.fotofilterversand.de/fofilter/ (Heliopan) if they produce filters in this size on demand. they did so some years ago for other unusual sizes (for reasonable prices). UliWer Posted July 28, 2015 Share #10 Posted July 28, 2015 Update: Heliopan http://www.heliopan.de/wp-content/uploads/Preisliste.pdf lists filters with 22,5mm as well as 19mm. Though I am sure 22,5mm is too large. You can contact them here: info@heliopan.de Usually they are very helpful.

I guess it's more likely to be 21mm. It's a good address for the scarce 19mm filters ! Danke sehr !
