Today I stumbled upon a youtube channel with exceptionally thorough and witty how-to videos concerning the repair of Leica M cameras and Leica M lenses by one mikeno62. I wouldn't try to do any repairs myself but enjoy gaining some insight into the inner workings of my gear, so here goes:

M Cameras (Playlist with 13 videos):

M Lenses (Playlist with 14 videos):

Very interesting to watch how relatively simple some of these repairs are (with the right tools).  I probably won't be messing with any of my cameras, but it's helpful to get a glmpse into how the equipment is assembled.

Whenever one of my M cameras has needed an overhaul or other repair work, I have a 100% success rate repairing my Leica M bodies.  My procedure is as follows -

1:  Wrap M camera in multiple layers of bubble wrap

2:  Put camera in sturdy cardboard box, tape securely shut

3:  Send to Sherry Krauter, wait for invoice

4:  Write check to Sherry Krauter

5:  Wait for camera to return home

(sorry, couldn't resist :p )
