Advertisement Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Hi stuny, Take a look here Fuji dropping some films and increasing prices on others. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
hamey Posted July 16, 2015 Share #2 Posted July 16, 2015 (edited) Thank you Stuart. For me, not to much of a concern what looks to me it's mostly Medium format. Three months ago I did visit Japan once again and spoke to a chap from Fuji on the future of film, his response was most of the 35mm films are safe for now. Future will tell. Ken. adan Posted July 16, 2015 Share #3 Posted July 16, 2015 Interesting - I thought 220 rolls of all types (and not just Fuji), and Provia 400x in any format, had been dropped some time ago. The good news is that Fuji is giving from 6 to 30 months' notice, so those dependent on a given emulsion/size/format have time to stock up. philipus Posted July 17, 2015 Share #4 Posted July 17, 2015 Presumably (and hopefully for me as a Fuji shooter) the 120 versions will remain for a while longer. But it's time to stock up.
250swb Posted July 17, 2015 Share #5 Posted July 17, 2015 A bit sad, but as a MF user it must be thirty years since I used a roll of 220, and as a LF user I have never used Velvia, transparency film and LF never seemed like a good idea unless it was studio based work. Provia 400x in 35mm was discontinued in 2013 for the US and EU markets. But it was still available in Japan. http://petapixel.com/2013/07/20/fujifilm-officially-discontinues-neopan-400-bw-film-and-provia-400x-slide-film/ Now it's completely discontinued. I still have 6 rolls in the fridge. Edited July 17, 2015 by indergaard
