Thank you all for taking part in the Kyoto Night Challenge this year, both as participants, and those who have voted to help determine the winner. The voting has now closed, and the top three shots are as follows:

1. John (erl) - 2. Distraction - 28 points and 31% of the vote

2. Simon (DigitalHeMan) - 4. Going Home - 23 points and 26% of the vote

3. Dan (Dan Bachmann) - 3. Clean Streets - 13 points and 14% of the vote

Congratulations to John with his winning shot!

Looking forwards to the next challenge in Vienna.

I feel a bit guilty winning with this shot. I took it less than 90 seconds after leaving the restaurant where we had that fine meal. I went on to take more pics whilst walking 'home' and found some great (IMO) shots and was tempted to submit them instead because I had worked harder for them, but 'Distraction' kept drawing my eye. So I submitted it. I will post my 'outtakes' shortly in the Kyoto Outtakes thread.

Simon and Dan your images are interesting because of the 'opposing' disciplines you both employed. Congratulations to you both.

I saw many pics taken during the evening so I hope some will be posted soon.
