Rear cap for M39 lens

Dammit. Yesterday I lost the rear cap of my Summicron 3,5 cm screw mount. Does anybody have a cap like that? Actually it was the black metal one, not silver. I saw some on the evil bay but have ridiculous prices. I still have to call the shop here, but I guess if they have any, the price will be not low at all.

I don't worry any longer about matching colors....I got a bunch of silver colored metal M39 front & rear caps ( set of 1 each) for my screwmounts on Ebay for about $5/set.

Ditto the ebay caps but some are very shallow. Make sure they're deep enough. Some aren't.

Yes, I saw some caps today sold as "for M39" but they're too shallow and wouldn't fit on lens. I don't worry as well about matching the colour, I only want to be sure it's the right size.

If yours is a collapsible lens, just use whatever cap and don't collapse it except on your camera body.

No, Spin, the cap belongs to my Summaron. And yes, when I put it on my Summicron I keep it opened since it won't fit if collapsed. But it's not a problem since the Summicron is always on the camera.

Ordered today on the thiefbay. Euros 5 something, rear cap and camera cap. Then, I went to clean the car and when I opened up the door the cap was on the seat.

Good. I'll have a backup.

Haha, reminds me to a good friend of mine!

We both were no car cleaners at all, moving trash bins was the better word. But he even could not remember the Micro Nikkor 55mm was HIS OWN ONE which he found under the back seat!

Perhaps I should have a look to my car too....
