jbl Posted July 22, 2015 Share #82 Posted July 22, 2015 I checked and, just in case anyone is wondering, uniting all three 50mm summiluxes and all three Noctiluxes doesn't cause Oskar's ghost to show up.
Leica Frog Posted July 22, 2015 Share #83 Posted July 22, 2015 I try to collect Leica M lenses and use it occasionally, M240 + 21/3.4 SEM + 35/2 Cron Asph + 50/1.4 Lux Asph + 75/2 Cron Asph Apo + 90/2.8 Elmarit-M M9 + 24/3.8 Elmar-M + 28/2.8 Elmarit Asph + 35/1.4 Lux FLE + 50/1.4 Lux V.4 Pre-Asph + 75/1.4 Lux V.2 M7 + 21/2.8 Elmarit-M M6 + 50/2.8 Elmar-M That's all, my own collection Leica M. AndrewDD Posted July 22, 2015 Share #84 Posted July 22, 2015 35mm Summicron which I bought with the camera and used exlusively for 2 years, now mostly just when I'm at home and don't have room to use my... 50mm Zeiss Sonnar F1.5 which I absolutely adore wide-open. I use it more and more, and get amazing results shooting dance performances. 75mm Summarit which I bought for portraits and hardly ever use - will probably sell soon. I think I'm safe from lens GAS, at least for now

I think I'm safe from lens GAS, at least for now +1 for the 35 Cron and 50 Zeiss Sonnar! The 35 Summicron is my "everyday" lens, and it tends to stay on my camera about 90% of the time, though I slowly find that number to be decreasing because of the Zeiss Sonnar! I agree, I absolutely adore shooting it wide open, and it's used exclusively for portraiture, which I find myself doing more of because of this lens! Gorgeous piece of glass, just wish it had a focusing tab...
stevecair Posted August 20, 2015 Share #86 Posted August 20, 2015 One lens for each camera, it's less choices M9-P with Elmarit-M 28/2.8 ASPH M7 with APO-Summicron-M 50/2 ASPH Hmm, perhaps I'll add a 135mm for airshows i love this combo, since i too use a m240 with 50 app and mp film with 50 1.5 summarit. considering getting a 28mm

mmradman Posted August 20, 2015 Share #88 Posted August 20, 2015 I'm getting lens envy reading this thread. I have only been an m9 owner for a few weeks and just have my 50mm Summerit which I love. You may start with envy but you may also finish smug; I started with S/H MP (Film) and 50mm f2.8 Elmar-M, ended with new M240 and Summilux line-up covering 21 to 75mm. Still have and use MP but, regretfully, Elmar-M had to go to fund other purchases.

Sam Posted August 20, 2015 Share #90 Posted August 20, 2015 Only two: 35/2 Cron Asph + 50/1.4 Lux Asph At some point I might replace the 35/2 Cron Asph with a 35/1.4 FLE Eventually I will add a Noctilux 0.95. Not sure when or how.

For that to happen, it has to be Friday the 13th at midnight. You light a candle, put your lenses on a turntable set at 33 1/3 RPM and make it spin backwards. For the Gen X, Gen Y and millenial types who don't understand the above, consult an old man/woman who survived the 1960s and still wears Led Zeppelin tee-shirts.

Chronic indecision with that many of each FL from which to choose would prevent me from taking any photos. I just pick one and get on with it Each of them is a stellar performer so it comes down to the "look" I'm going for Also, I don't only take one lens per focal length. Sometimes I take a few and carry a few bodies It's mostly for fun so the process of photography is as much fun to me as the end result
