I just found back B&W negatives, marked "Adox Plus X, M3, Elmar 50, sept. 1958", that had survived in a transparent strips holder, without any special care, five moves in two different countries and nearly 57 years. Digitizing same gave the following result. As quoted in my log book, the images were taken aboard a Belgian Air Force's Douglas C-54, during a flight from Beauvechain Air Base, Belgium, to Spangdahlem US Air Force Base in Germany.

I am definitely an old timer...

Excellent, evocative stuff.  I visited USAFB Spangdahlem many times in the final years of the Cold War, when I was serving with the RAF in Germany.

Thanks for sharing these wonderful shots!

Regards

John
